Protect Us, O God

Protect us, O God, from ev’ry disease,
from all that would plague
and bring us unease.
Against epidemic, infection, all pain,
extend your protection.
Each outbreak contain.

Give health to us, Lord,
that all would be well,
that healing might thrive
and malady fail.
In times of affliction and illness severe,
please furnish a spirit
of caution, not fear.

We look to you, Christ, the mighty to save.
We seek your deliv’rance;
your impact we crave.
In mercy and kindness from pestilence spare.
Cure all, Great Physician.
O Lord, hear our prayer. Amen
